Texarkana Business Organization and Real Estate Lawyer: Mark R. Adams

Before joining Dunn, Nutter & Morgan, LLP in 2004, Mark Adams served as an administrator for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, and as in-house counsel for Walsh HealthCare Solutions, a Texarkana pharmaceutical distribution company, where he directed the legal and human resources departments. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Dallas Baptist University in 1993 and a JD degree from Baylor University School of Law in Waco in 1986. He was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1986, and he appears in Texas State Court and in the US District Court in the Northern Division of Texas.

When Walsh HealthCare Solutions was purchased by a larger distributor and left the area, Mr. Adams made the decision to stay, raise his family, and lend his assistance to businesses in Texarkana. He enjoys business and real estate transactional work, advising and guiding clients through the process of completing a business deal, putting organizations together, and creating win / win situations in which all participants are satisfied. Having guided clients through company mergers and acquisitions (including transactions in excess of $100 million), establishment of a $175 million line of credit or the formation of a limited liability company, Mr. Adams enjoys applying his varied perspective to the practice of law, and making use of his intimate knowledge of the workings of businesses to help his clients.

In addition to his service with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for children), Mr. Adams has served as Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee, Healthcare Distribution Management Association. He is a past member of the Texas Wholesaler Druggists' Association, the Texas Alpha Nu Chapter of the scholarship honor society Alpha Chi, the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, and Rotary International. He is a member of the Texas Bar Association and the Texarkana Bar Association.
