Texarkana Trial Lawyer: Matthew Wade Kimmel
Wade Kimmel graduated summa cum laude from East Texas State University at Texarkana with a BA degree in 1993. He earned a master's degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1996, and a JD degree with high honors from the University of Arkansas Law School in 1999. He is an avid Arkansas Razorback fan.
Born in Denton, Texas, Mr. Kimmel moved to Texarkana in 1989. As a trial lawyer for Dunn, Nutter, Morgan, he is committed to fostering the future of the firm and maintaining its long history of service to the Texarkana community. He appears in Arkansas State Court, Texas State Court, the US District Court in the Eastern District of Texas, and the US District Court in the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. He became a partner at Dunn, Nutter, & Morgan in 2003.
Mr. Kimmel enjoys practicing law because it gives him the opportunity to help people. He enjoys the variety of people he meets and the variety of problems he encounters. He enjoys creating effective solutions to the problems his clients face. Mr. Kimmel serves on the board of the Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller Counties, an organization that offers learning assistance and literacy tutors to adults with reading difficulties.
Mr. Kimmel is a member of the State Bars of Arkansas and Texas, and a member of the American Bar Association. In addition, he is a member of the Texarkana Bar Association, the Southwest Arkansas Bar Association, and the Northeast Texas Bar Association, and a past president of the Texarkana Young Lawyers Association. From 2002 through 2008, he serves as a delegate in the Arkansas Bar Association House of Delegates. He is the author of "Requiring Level of Exposure Showings in Toxic Tort Litigation after Wright v. Williamette: Is the Plaintiff's Burden Insurmountable?", which appeared in the Arkansas Law Review, Volume 52, Number 1, 1999.
